Every body knows the importance of the eyebrows to the overall balance of the face.

And this goes for every single type of face, the difference is that only if you have not a lot of hair in your eyebrows you may want to consider shaping them with color or makeup pencil and if you have a good quantity of hair don’t over do it, just reshape them a little with your tweezers. The importance of this is to clean the eyelid so it won’t look smaller and messy.

How to shape your Brows

The trick is the same for all women, to have a natural arc and a smooth line.

For this just mark your eyebrows with a pencil and do the same in the other eye, compare and decide how you want them done, if you are not satisfied clean your brow and try again! Don’t pluck, wax, thread until you are sure how you like it.

To create a natural look, use a fine-point color pencil that match your natural color.

 

Hold your eyebrow pencil upright so that it intersects the inner corner of your eye in a straight line; this is where your eyebrows should begin. If yours fall short of this line, “pencil in” a few hairs. Wax or pluck hairs that grow outside this line.

Find your Arch: next, hold the pencil at an angle so it touches the outer edge of your nostril and intersect with the outer corner of your eye; this is where your brow should end. Fill brows in with the eyebrow pencil if they don’t reach, or “feather in” a few hairs if they are missing. Brows should frame the entire shadowed area.

Then hold a pencil parallel to your eye across the bridge of your nose so the inner and outer ends of your brows intersect. Your eyebrows should end at the level at where it begins, or it may be slightly higher than the beginning of your brow. Your eyebrows’ ends should never droop below the inner ones.

Next, hold your pencil upright, intersecting with the outer edge of the iris of your eye and the middle of your brow. This is the point at which the brow should arch the highest. Brows can arch as much as you like so long as the curve is round ok. Just make sure you do not flatten it. To emphasize the brow’s curve, use short, angled strokes of the eyebrow pencil. The end of your eyebrow, above the outer corner of your eye, should never be higher than this arch, and the ends of both brows should be on an even level…is not that difficult.

To shape your brows properly, begin by using short, light strokes of the pencil to outline the top of each eyebrow up to its arch. Use feather-like strokes to extend each brow to the end. Fill in any sparse areas by using these strokes, as though drawing on individual brows hairs. Always brush your brows after makeup to smooth them and blend in the penciled strokes.

Using an eyebrow pencil
is more difficult than eye shadows. If too much pressure is applied, you will create a hard line which will look false and you don’t want this to look on you. The ‘trick’ is to hold the pencil between your thumb and first finger, very close so you will find it impossible to put any pressure and it is easier to achieve a softer effect.
