The four types of face makeup foundation

*Oil Based

Find out if in the ingredients label mention oil first; if on the ingredients water comes on second or third is a Oil based foundation.

This type of makeup foundations are regularly greasy and thick. If your skin is really dry you may like this one and could be right for you. Be aware when you are applying the foundation to be really close to a mirror and have a good light; you want to blend your foundation evenly.

*Water Based

Remember if the first ingredient is water, well you got a water based foundation on hands. Have in mind that you will read on the label that contains oil,  is not only water based…don’t worry! It carries less oil than oil based foundation.

Water based foundation is easy to apply, it feels light on the face. Water based foundation is recommended to woman that  are normal to dry skin oh! and acne prone.

This powder give you a fast cover up in a opaque tones. Could be a cream powder; it feels creamy when you apply it and dries as a powder. Not recommended to woman that have dry skin/flaky you may feel your face absorbing the moisture and end up feeling drier face.

*Oil Free

Like the foundation says oil free. These face foundations are oil free mineral oils or vegetable oil, although be aware that some contain silicone oils. They are 3 groups:

glycerin based, alcohol based, lotions & creams. Be aware that to acne prone is recommended to use lotion & creams. The other 2 are irritant to this skin type. Tip: Blend this foundation will dry fast; apply a soon as you can.
